U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, Colorado Springs

A multi international award winning interactive sports museum, inclusively designed to champion excellence.

About this experience

Our team worked on the strategy, design, delivery and installation of all AV software for this brand new national museum. Underpinned by distant RFID, the visitor experience was developed with inclusivity as a primary target. The inclusive design and accessibility of the user journey won multiple international awards, including the 2020 IAUD grand award for inclusive design.

Exhibits include immersive interactive rooms putting the visitor into the heart of the opening ceremony and medal ceremony; a physical/digital interactive gaming zone in which visitors learn through play the skills required to participate in the games; informational touchscreen databases to discover all about the sports, the torches, the torch relays, the hall of fame and much much more; augmented reality (AR) gallery exploring the science and technology of the games; creative, digital retail experiences allowing visitors to generate their own unique items; the world’s first interactive autobiography controlled via voice interaction… all designed inclusively, powered by RFID and generating a Digital Locker of take-home material for visitors.

Project delivered in collaboration with a variety of project partners including Kiss the Frog, Barrie Projects, Gallagher & Associates, CRĒO Industrial Arts, BBI, Stark RFID and many more.
